Build Your Own Solar Cones
November 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
If you are interested in getting more grow time in your garden, then this workshop is for you! Solar cones have many uses in the garden. They are an innovative way to warm up the soil in the early spring and can protect tender transplants from heavy weather or intense sunlight. Later in the Fall, they can keep the temperature warm well into the cool nights and extend your growing season far beyond the frost date!
Class participants will receive an overview about season extension and the uses of a solar cone.
Participants will be instructed in the step by step construction of solar cones. Materials will be provided and each ticket-holder will make their own solar cone.
Due to the special order nature of the materials, please be sure to register prior to attending. Spaces will be limited to ensure we order enough solar cone material. Participants will be limited to one solar cone and one solar cylinder per ticket. Future orders and materials will be discussed on the class date.
